Since 2020 I served as Job Supervisor and Crew Leader for a leading Green-Builder based out of Chapel Hill, NC. I am proud of the work I did with that company and showcase some of my work on this website. Newly on my own, I am happy to be accepting new customers.

If your needs require obtaining a permit, several options are open to you. Usually, a homeowner is entitled to pull their own permits for work they will personally do on their own home. With this approach, you may choose to hire me to do the work as a "worker", even if that work involves consultation in navigating the permitting and inspections process.
Alternatively, I can recommend several residential contractors in the Triangle area that are licensed in North Carolina.

I have never been good at estimating labor cost, which is one of the reasons I spent over half my working life tethered to a contractor that was. My rate does not include overhead required for me to spend hours working up estimates only to have customers choose someone cheaper to do the work. If you are looking for the cheapest person to do the work, I am not that person.
If you are looking for someone who prioritizes honesty and integrity, has a solid reputation with everyone I have worked with and worked for throughout my working career, and whose work will match or exceed that of a licensed contractor while avoiding their overhead, I may be the right person for you.
If an estimate is required, which I completely understand, I can accurately estimate materials; labor estimates are a far greater challenge for me. What I can guarantee is that I will charge you for the time needed to do the job to your satisfaction. If you require a firm estimate or quote, others may better serve you.
